SEC Schools to Hold First-Ever Joint Recruitment Fairs in Ohio, Illinois
The 12 schools of the Southeastern Conference are, for the first time, joining together to hold recruitment fairs in two cities.
These SEC events will be held on April 27 in Columbus, Ohio, and on April 28 in Chicago, Ill.
At each location, the college fairs will give high school students the chance to meet representatives from each school to learn more about each institution.
The Columbus event will be held at the Hilton Columbus at Easton Town Center. The college fair will be held from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on April 27.
The Chicago event will be held at the Sheraton Chicago Northwest. The college fair will be held from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on April 28.
"By holding these joint programs, the SEC is giving high school students and counselors a one-stop shop to learn about the opportunities at a variety of great schools," said Nancy McGlasson, director of admissions at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. "We want to carry the news of the SEC -- home to leading academics and athletics, warm places and friendly faces -- to Ohio and Illinois."
The SEC consists of the University of Tennessee, the University of Alabama, Auburn University, the University of Florida, the University of Georgia, the University of Kentucky, Louisiana State University, the University of Mississippi, Mississippi State University, Vanderbilt University, the University of Arkansas and the University of South Carolina.
